Commentary - Slide 1

(Matt 3:17) When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him. And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, "This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased."

(1 Pet 2:22,24) "(Jesus) Who committed no sin, nor was deceit found in His mouth; who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree (cross)... by whose stripes you were healed."

Commentary - Slide 3

A priest, relative, or friend cannot pray a prayer of repentance for you. They cannot believe or trust for you. Just because your parents are saved does not mean that you are born saved. You must go to God through Jesus Christ yourself. (Gal 6:5) “For every man shall bear his own burden.” If (I repeat If) you were saved while someone else prayed for you it was not his or her prayer that saved you. It was your own repentant heart calling upon the Lord. A goat could’ve prayed for you and the result would’ve been the same.
